The Veterans shown in the photo below are either board members or volunteers of the Columbus Veterans Beneficial Board. The Board is a 501-C3 organization founded by Steve Miller who served as the Coordinator of Veterans’ Affairs for the City of Columbus for 17 years.
The group is dedicated to serving the needs of Veterans. Fundraisers and donations have helped support the Columbus “Stand Down” — an event to provide services to homeless veterans, such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings, employment and substance abuse treatment. Other recent activities include the support of other veterans groups including Milvets and contributions to the Chillicothe V. A. hospital.
